I am extremely grateful to have had Nilanjana ma’am as my math tutor for the past year and a half. She has guided me through my IB Diploma journey and made it feel like a walk in the park. When I started with ma’am, I remember being at a 3 and was completely terrified of math, but now, I have completed my boards and hope to receive a 7 in Math AA HL. Nilanjana ma’am was the only one who kept motivating me and pushing me to my limits to work hard and showcase my true potential. She believed in me when I didn’t believe in myself. She not only helped me with IBDP math but also made me realize that math can be an enjoyable and easy subject when you practice and understand it.

Ma’am is extremely patient and will explain or work through the same questions even 100 times if it means I will feel confident and understand better. She has filled our classes with fun and laughter. She was open to discussing anything if it meant I would feel better. We have had numerous conversations that were not only about math; in fact, they ranged from Kerala to Kashmir to sarees. She created a safe environment that helped me develop both understanding and a desire to improve. She has truly made me want to study math even more.

One important thing to mention is her endless pool of knowledge and her dedication to teaching. She has solved questions with explanations when she was sick, when she was tired, and when she was on a train. Ma’am has always gone out of her way to help every one of her students, from giving midnight classes to early morning pep talks. She sincerely and deeply cares about each and every one of her students and pushes them to reach their full potential.

I used to tell ma’am how incredible she is at math and how lucky I was to have her as my teacher. She never accepted the compliment, but today, I can say without hesitation that she is one of the best teachers I’ve ever had. She goes above and beyond to help her students improve, understand, and, most importantly, love what they’re learning.

Thank you again, ma’am, for guiding me toward what once felt like a distant dream—a 7 in Math AA HL.

Hello Ma'am, I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything that you have done for me this past year. When I started grade 11, i genuinely could not solve even basic Math questions but i had taken AA HL. I felt completely lost and honestly thought Math just was not for me. But now, thanks to your support and the way that you have taught me, I am actually aiming for a 7 -- which feels unreal to say. Even my teachers now think that I will be getting a 6, and that in itself feels like such a huge step from where I started. You have not only help me understand Math better, but you have actually made me enjoy it, that's something I never expected. The way you explain things, your patience, and the fact that you always believed that i could do it -- even when I did not believe in myself made such a huge difference. You are not just a great teacher, you are someone who I really trust and look up to. You made Math class a place where I didn't feel judged or scared to make mistakes and i think that's a big part why i have come this far. So thank you honestly.

Under Nilanjana ma’am’s guidance, I was able to achieve a 7 in IB Maths AA HL May 2026 session. I first reached out to her during DP2 when I was struggling to keep up with the demands of the course. After scoring a 4 on one of my tests, I had lost confidence in my abilities and felt helpless.

From the very beginning, ma'am created a safe and supportive learning environment where I felt comfortable asking questions and learning from my mistakes. She patiently worked through each of my weaknesses, one by one. I was notorious for making silly mistakes but she never lost patience. Instead, we practiced countless past paper questions together until I was able to solve them confidently.

When I struggled to understand a concept, ma'am would explain it in different ways until everything finally clicked. Even outside our lessons, she was always supportive. Whenever I got stuck on a question, I could message her for help. Despite being busy with her other classes, ma'am always found the time to get back to me as soon as possible.

I remember feeling very nervous the day before my final IB Maths exam but ma'am reassured me and gave me a heart-felt pep talk. I am grateful to have been taught by her. She is an excellent teacher and a compassionate mentor. She helped me realise that mathematics is not something to fear but rather something to understand and investigate. Most importantly, she believed in me when I struggled to believe in myself. Thank you again ma'am for taking me from a 4 to a 7, something I could never imagine!

I have been Nilanjana Ma'am's student for the past two years. I was under her guidance during the IGCSEs and currently doing A levels with her. She is an incredible teacher who is extremely patient and during her sessions, her passion for Maths and love for teaching shines through. It is due to her awesome teaching style that i could get A* in my boards both for my normal and further Maths. No words can describe how grateful i am to have her as my teacher. I highly recommend her as a math tutor.
